Step inside platform 9 ¾ to a Ministry of Magic inspired bathroom featuring the Hockley Antiqued Green metro tiles. Nestled in a rural village on the North Norfolk coast, Kevin and his wife have lived in their new build home for 6 years, slowly adding character to the property room by room. When they began planning their bathroom renovation, the idea and concept for the space came whilst watching one of the Harry Potter films featuring the Ministry of Magic with its emerald green subway tiles.

Once they had their theme decided, a visit to the Burys St Edmunds tile shop helped in selecting the right wall tile along with choosing the bathroom flooring; “we loved the look of laying metros stacked as opposed to a brick bond and the Hockley Antiqued Green is just what we were after! We thought a black and white floor tile would complement but were unsure on which one until we visited the Suffolk showroom, which had a great range to choose from.”

Chosen for their quality, style and durability, the Hockley Antiqued Green metro tiles and Alba patterned tiles work wonderfully together, with a harmonious balance of a pop of colour against monochrome geometric patterns. The high gloss finish and rich emerald hues of the Hockley Antiqued Green captured the whimsical inspiration behind their project, with antiqued brass hardware to finish the bathroom. 

The vanity unit made of solid oak played a special part in their bathroom renovation as Kevin’s “favourite piece with a shameless pride!”. Handmade by Kevin himself, the warm oak cabinet and polished quartz top fits ideally in the space and contrasts against the Harry Potter inspired metro tiles perfectly.
