Limestone Tile Flooring

When selecting your perfect flooring using limestone tiles, there are many different options to consider such as finish, colour, tile size and format. The limestone tiles collection consists of different finishes such as tumbled stone, textured, straight cut, smooth and matte tiles, as well as unique finishes to Quorn Stone. If opting for a contemporary style, why not try brushed or honed finish limestone tiles, with straight cut edges. Or perhaps you have a traditional country home that would suit a tumbled finish, with rustic aged textures. Our Dijon limestone tiles are a popular and timeless option, with soft sand and honey shades, or for a grey tone with beautiful natural stone variation there is Farrow Grey limestone. With natural limestone tiles in a range of colours from grey, beige, and white, there is a floor tile for every project!
What are limestone tiles?

Limestone is a sedimentary rock, formed over millions of years. It is then quarried and turned into limestone tiles for use as flooring and other interior and exterior products. There is something entirely unique and enduring in limestone. A combination of sediments, broken seashells, coral and the remains of aquatic animals deposited on the waterbed, slowly compresses over time into a hard rock. We devote a large amount of time and use our years of expertise to source some of the most beautiful limestone floors in the world.

What are the benefits of limestone tiles?

Limestone makes such a perfect material for floor tiles due to the combination of its unique textures, patterns, and colours, along with the durable and dense nature of limestone tiles. Every tile is one of a kind and adds interest and beauty to your indoor or outdoor natural stone flooring project.

Are limestone tiles easy to maintain?

Yes, with the right products and methods, you need not worry about caring for your new limestone tiles. Read our guide on how to clean natural stone floor tiles for further information.

What is an FL limestone tile?

FL stands for Free Length. The free length format is only available in our limestone tiles. Free lengths have a fixed width and varying lengths ranging anywhere from 450mm up to a maximum of 1000mm, laid as a random brick bond. For orders over 5m2, you can expect a minimum of 3 different lengths in an order of free length limestone tiles. Read our FAQs for more information on tile sizes and formats.

How to install limestone tiles?

Whether a fixed size laid in a half or staggered bond, a free length format laid in a random bond, or an Opus pattern with mixed tile sizes, limestone tiles are easy to lay and achieve the perfect natural stone flooring look. A limestone tile floor should always be laid onto a level substrate, using a full bed of white, flexible tile adhesive and grouted in between the joints. Read more on how to install natural stone.

Do limestone tiles need sealing?

Sealant is required for limestone tiles and will help protect the natural stone against water and oil contamination. Subject to the correct maintenance, we recommend resealing internal dry areas, every 3-5 years. It is important to use cleaning products designed for limestone flooring (always check the manufacturers guidelines and test in a discreet area).
